Made some time today to get back to the gym. I have a flag football game this weekend, and a 5-mile run on Thanksgiving day that I should be getting ready for. So my focus today was on endurance, as opposed to a standard WOD that I favor. With some input from my brother, I decided to row.
Here's what I did:
S(strength)WOD: Clean & Jerk. 5 sets of 3. 115-135-145-155-160.
WOD: Row intervals (90sec rest between) 800m-500m-500m-500m-500m - avg. 500m time was 1:57.8
The first three intervals of rowing were miserable. My shins, elbows, upper back and lungs were burning during each interval. For the last two intervals, I either went numb or grew accustomed to the burn and I finished strong.
I have a flag football game Saturday morning; the weather is supposed to be in the 40's with possible snow showers... Should be fun. Side note for North-east Ohio, Christmas Ale came back out this week. Enjoy (responsibly)
