Warrior Dash Northeast 2010 - Windham, New York

What a weekend! Road-tripped from Ohio to Windham, New York. We had an awesome time both Friday evening and Saturday at The Dash. It was on Windham Mountain and it was BRUTAL. The first leg of the race was just straight uphill. It came to a point where everyone was walking. I'm not sure what my personal time was yet, unofficially somewhere around 39mins. When they post the times, and photos, I will add those. I reccomend that if you have a Dash coming to an area near you, get some friends and sign up! There was a large CrossFit presecne, the atmosphere was a blast; everyone was there to suffer a little and have a great time. (Kind of like a large-scale WOD)
I ate like crap most of the weekend, I typically don't eat very well but when I'm on the road, it gets worse. I have just begun to "feel up" Paleo, and Zone- getting a little more familiarized with them both. I have recently (last 3 months) started to clean up my diet, and like I said I'm getting to know a little more about actual diets at my own pace. I eat less junk now than I used to, I eat more fruits, vegtables, meats, nuts and less white bread/rice, candy, soda, alcohol, chips, energy drinks, desserts, etc. I try to eat less for enjoyment, and aim more towards output. Just basically applying common-sense to what I put in, but nothing regimented and nothing restrictive or calculated.
(This was the last obstacle at our dash, a barbed-wire mud crawl!)
